International Day of Persons with Disabilities!

International Day of Persons with Disabilities!

December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992.

It is observed around the world with varying degrees of success, but with a common goal, which is to promote understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

It also seeks to raise awareness of the benefits that can be gained from the integration of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic and cultural life.
